Alchemist
a poem
There are souls amongst us Who refuse to let The shadows Consume them Those who wake up Most days In resistance Their lives a protest Against being frozen By fear Grief Sadness Pain Souls who fiercely Battle against The urge to Permanently assume The fetal position Overwhelmed Masters of Alchemy Transforming the warmth of Fire meant to destroy Into building blocks Of joy Meaning Purpose Healing Amongst the chaos I see you I am you

I love this!! The title of your poem actually reminds me of the first book I ever read. It was a gift from someone. After reading it, something subtle awakened in me, and I’ve been writing ever since. :)
